FAQ
It is $8.99 on Steam, released October 24, 2026.
Not at launch. The store page lists 2 player co-op among features still in the works for future updates, alongside more spells, more level designs and Steam Achievements.
No. There is no final floor, and past depth 60 enemies gain armour while past depth 100 the horde doubles.
You carry three lives. Dying costs one and drops you back at the start of that depth with everything intact, and when you run out the run is over.
Details
Written from verified facts; labels mark how strong each statement's evidence is.
SpellWeave is a pixel-art spell-chaining roguelite where your wand is a sentence and order is the grammar.
A wand is a list of slots cast left to right, so what a spell does depends entirely on what sits in front of it.
Payloads fly out and do the damage, modifiers affect every spell after them and nothing before, multicasts draw several payloads from one trigger pull, and triggers swallow the spells that follow and re-cast them at the point of impact.
The store page example is TRIPLE CAST, FORK, GIANT, FIREBALL, CHAIN LIGHTNING and ICE SHARD, which fires all three payloads at once, each split into three oversized projectiles.
There is no final floor: enemy health, damage and elite frequency climb forever, with enemies gaining armour past depth 60 and the horde doubling past depth 100.
Bosses appear every fifth depth, and every tenth is a greater boss in an arena three times the size that drops spells found nowhere else.
You carry three lives, and dying costs one while dropping you back at the start of that depth with everything intact; run out and the run is over.
Hard mode gives one life, half the gold and double the horde from the first depth, and from depth 100 every enemy carries a shield equal to its own health.
Forty-plus spells combine for real: homing, piercing, ricochet, forking, elemental infusions, lifesteal, critical edges and flight-path modifiers that make spells orbit, fan out, curve mid-air or cut their way back (BOUNDED: official Steam description, checked 2026-10-25).
Summons such as melee thralls, spirit archers and hex familiars count as payloads, so multicast raises several and FORK adds more (BOUNDED: official Steam description, checked 2026-10-25).
Five elements are readable at a glance, with arcane orbs trailing runes, ragged flame shedding embers, rotating frost shards, zigzag lightning and dripping toxic blobs, each with its own silhouette, trail, impact and sound.
Skin packs repaint the dungeon, weather and creatures cosmetically, while spells and difficulty never change.
